The World’s First Giving Business Card

There’s probably a stat somewhere that quotes the number of business cards given out each day. Whatever that number is, it’s safe to say that most of those lovely cards end up in a pile on the recipient’s desk or scanned into a database.

Well now there’s a way to change that. It’s a way that:

* Says something very different about you and
* Gets funds flowing to a Worthy Cause Project of the recipient’s choice.
 
And even more interestingly, this new initiative from lets you track the people who do actually do something positive with your card. So all of a sudden, the ritual of exchanging business cards allows you to leave a very different impression and build an even stronger 'connection' with those people to whom you give your cards.

The idea came from a standard B1G1 'voucher' that we use to encourage people to become aware of how simple it is to make a difference. The standard voucher looks like this:

 

Armed with the success of the Voucher program, we realised that even more could be done by turning the voucher into a business card.

And that led to the creation of the world's first Giving Business Card. We're now making the card graphics and the activation tracking system available to B1G1 Business Members worldwide.

Here's how it works.

All you do is get the graphic file (specially coded for your use) for the back of your card from B1G1. Your cards get printed by your normal business card supplier. It's as simple as that. You’ve automatically created your very own giving business card.
 

As each card is used by your cards' recipients, B1G1 lets you know so that you can write directly to your contacts and congratulate them for making the giving happen. It leads to a totally different connection between you and the person to whom you gave your card. And most importantly, it makes a positive difference in our world.
