About:
In the poverty-stricken Indian state of Bihar, women are severely abused and marginalised. Dalit girls belong to a menial caste whose members are stigmatised as “untouchables”. To bring justice and enforce basic human rights, Academy of Root Development has implemented beneficial programmes to improve reproductive and child health, enhance functional literacy and offer vocational training to women.

Here’s a clip of how ARD commemorated International Women’s Day 2014: https://vimeo.com/131410105.
