The purpose-driven business series features a different Business for Good to showcase their unique giving stories. We hope these stories inspire you with interesting, new and joyful ideas on how to integrate giving into your business.
Today’s featured business was a startup just 3 years ago. In 3 short years, they’ve become a fast-growing business today that has already created more than 700,000 impacts, AND formed such close connections to their customers. They are a prime role model of how any business can start giving at any stage of your business, without needing to achieve ‘success’ in the unforeseeable future first. As your business grows, your giving impact grows with you.

Can you give us a sense of why you decided to start giving?
We are acutely aware of how fortunate we are to have been born into a wealthy country and we have always been looking for ways to give back. When we heard about B1G1, we realised it was a way for us to start giving immediately and not wait until we hit some arbitrary target to be able to help others.
What are your favourite projects to give to and why?
So far we’ve focused on providing life-saving clean water to families in Cambodia and in Africa, as well as grain seeds to nourish children in Africa. We took votes amongst the staff on which projects to support.
How would you describe the impact B1G1 has had on your company and its culture?
B1G1 has allowed us to make giving back a routine part of our daily operations, and it feels good. We were a startup business three years ago and we are growing very quickly. As our business grows so does our giving. Every time we ship an order to a customer we make a donation to B1G1 and include a note of appreciation to the customer. We will soon hit 500,000 giving impacts, which we are very proud of.
What’s the best experience you’ve had through your giving activities and being a part of B1G1?
Getting emails and reviews from customers saying how much they appreciate it. Here’s a couple of recent messages:
“Order was efficiently handled and delivered quicker than expected. Very happy with your company’s ethos of giving too. Will continue to purchase from you.”
“Thank you ALL. And Merry Christmas to you. Thank you also for your corporate decision and behaviour to donate and support families and sustainability. Excellent! Your Service and your Ethics is why I am happy to support you with orders in 2018.”
