WHAT'S IN THE BUNDLE?

Lyrics by: Tim Wade
Artistes: James Williams, Eddie Williams, Nick Williams, and Jonathan Pipe

On the 12th day of Christmas my true love gives for me…

Many orphaned/at-risk children in Moldova cannot attend school because they lack the most basic necessities - shoes. By providing access to shoes, you not only enable those children to leave the house whenever they want to but you also give them access to the most vital tool of their lives. Education can be their first step on their path out of poverty.

Many children in remote areas of Nepal still lack access to basic quality education. By providing 11 bricks to build a school, you're helping to improve the learning environment for these children and enable them to not only learn better but also develop into well-educated, responsible adults in the future.

Owning a rickshaw is something unachievable for many rickshaw pullers in Bangladesh. Exorbitant rents prevent them from ever making the step out of debt and poverty in the slums. Providing a rickshaw for a week enables the rickshaw pullers to earn and save money to provide for their families, and especially to afford to bring their children to primary school. Additionally, the rickshaw pullers only need to repay half the cost after 3 years, which is much more achievable and motivating.

Enable Dalit girls or young women aged between 13 to 19 years old access to literacy education. These girls, who come from the poorest families, have been taken out of the education system to help work on the land, or in other ways earn money for their family. Being able to read and write does not only empower those girls but also opens brighter possibilities for their future.

Every year when the weather begins to warm up, the native Australian animals begin to explore – they're out and about looking for water, or even a friend for mating season. Unfortunately, some animals may get into accidents and suffer injuries during their journey; some koala joeys also get orphaned as a result. The Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital rescues and feeds these joeys regular milk formula every three to four hours, depending on their age, size and health.

People in Turkana, Kenya are mainly nomadic pastoralists and a proper diet is therefore extremely limited. However, a lack of vitamin A can actually lead to blindness, so by distributing a daily dose of vitamin A, you are not only providing improved nutrition but also helping to prevent blindness. And this creates completely new chances at life for those children.

Light up the lives of an underprivileged family in India for a week by installing a solar lighting unit in a household. Give a marginalized family access to clean and sustainable energy in their home and protect their health by reducing indoor air-pollution. Adequate lighting goes a long way in supporting daily household tasks such as cooking and also enables children to study and complete their schoolwork. Your support will create happier and healthier homes by contributing towards the health of women and the education of children.

Extreme poverty has forced people in Kenya to cut trees for charcoal and firewood and to harvest sand to sell. The result is large sand mines and villages with no trees. This project helps reverse this by planting new forest trees, and the initial phase of the project has already changed the situation significantly.

Help a student pedal out of poverty by providing a 2nd-hand bicycle & lock. Many students in rural Cambodia live far away from school and may travel up to 4 km to get to school. A bicycle can eliminate a barrier to enrolment and contribute to a lower dropout rate. Your support allows children to attend lessons regularly, giving them a higher chance of completing their education and finding better job opportunities in the future.

Help a student find employment and achieve economic independence in the future by sponsoring him or her school equipment that includes a school bag, training books, pencils and note books. Your contribution towards this project will encourage these students to attend school and lessons regularly, allowing them to participate in relevant training programs that will stand them in good stead in the future.

Clean drinking water is a basic necessity for survival but it is often scarce in the rural areas of India, resulting in the increase of water-borne diseases such as cholera. A water tap that filters out microorganisms and other alien agents will not only help to meet the community's need for safe drinking water, but also reduce the incidence of avoidable disease.

Many families living in the remote areas of Malawi and Zambia do not have access to a toilet or any form of sanitation facility and often suffer from poor health and diseases as a result. You can help to decrease the incidence of sickness and keep families alive by building a toilet for a family who will have access to it for the first time.
